Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the replacement step pad for your Aries three inch wide oval Nerf bar. So something happened to this where it got cracked, bent, or damaged, or something has just gone awry with your step pad, this is going to be a direct replacement from Aries for that component. So we'll have the actual step pad there. It's just that piece that goes on top of that Nerf bar. To give you some traction as you're getting in and out of your vehicle.
And then we'll also get the clips to go over these little studs to hold it in place.So you'll just put these on the end of those nubs, and then as you push it inside the oval Nerf bar, I'll come bring this a little closer to you guys, this will expand in there and hold that tight. So you can see there's little flanges on either side and that'll hold it in place. In all likelihood whenever you take this off, these will break, so they do give you one, two, three, four, five, six of these, and you'll need one, two, three, four, five to actually get it installed, so you do have an extra just in case something goes wrong there.As far as the overall size, from end to end it's about 21 and a quarter inches long. Again, fits our three inch wide oval, which matches up with the width here. The depth of this for the actual pad is about three quarters of an inch, going to the end of those little knobs is about one and three quarters.

Was told i would be sent 6 clips, received 5, 1 broke when installing the step pad so now the front of the pad sticks up. I fear that the wind will get under it and tear it off.
Shipping was fast. The box was huge and it looked like it had been thrown around and beat up to the point where it had to be retaped.
Good replacement part. The original part fell off while driving.

I needed a replacement pad for my truck champ nerf bars. I measured the holes to the best of my ability and took a chance on these replacements. They lined up perfect, installation was very easy. Back in business, thanks. In the photo, the left pad is the original, the right one is the new replacement.

The pads arrived when they said it wojuld. T he pad fit perfect. As far as the quality we will have to wait and see.
I am very disappointed in the pins that were sent with the step pads. They do not hold the step pad tight enough to keep wind from pulling them off. One came off on the highway and luckily I noticed and could return and pick it up before another vehicle ran over it. I took the other one off as it was never tight either and I did not want it coming off while driving. I am hoping that you have replacement pins that will hold the pad on tighter to the bar otherwise I have just wasted my money.
Ordered one of these to replace on a Lund nerf bar to make sure it would work. With a little drilling, it worked perfectly and is a MUCH nicer insert. Have already placed an order for the other three because we were really happy with this one. etrailer has GREAT customer service, fast shipping and would definitely buy from them again. Thanks!

The replacement was excellent! You cannot tell it from the original 6 inches away. removing the old step pad was the hardest part not removing the surface but removing the plastic posts and the metal clips. If all else fails a 1/4" drill bit removed the plastic post and allows the clip to come out easily. Total replacement time, 15 minutes.
I ordered these pads after unsuccessfully visiting every auto parts store in my community (3, by the way). Your customer service provided a dimensional drawing verifying the pin placement that matched the holes in my step bars. They were a perfect fit for the 3rd party step rails installed on my truck at time of purchase. Installation took about 10 minutes. My only criticism would be to include a sheet instructing the buyer to put the retention clips on the pad pins for installation, NOT INTO THE HOLES IN THE STEP BARS. I learned this lesson the hard way. Otherwise, easy installation & fine replacement product.

Perfect fit for my Unknown brand Pro-Series 3" Black Nerf Bars
The plastic pad should not have dried out and broke all to pieces in just a couple of years . Aries needs to address this problem on their Nerf bars.
Etrailer was excellent. They did all they could to help me get the correct replacement pad since there are several different sizes.
They worked great and best of all was the customer service from Nicole!
